My name is Chimegmaa Orsoo, founder of Sacred Origins Travel.
Originally from Mongolia, I grew up in a culture deeply shaped by nomadic traditions, a relationship with nature, and the wisdom of the elders. This connection to the world—simultaneously spiritual, practical, and vibrant—has shaped my way of seeing, traveling, and sharing.
A PhD in political science and a graduate of the Toulouse Institute of Political Studies, I currently teach at the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Ulaanbaatar. However, my true path began long before the lecture halls—in the steppes, through ceremonies, and in encounters with shamans and keepers of tradition.
Thirty years ago, one meeting changed everything. My friend Élisabeth Guigou entrusted me with organizing her journey to Mongolia. From that trust, Orso Voyage was born—now one of the leading French-speaking travel agencies in Mongolia, partnering with nearly fifty families who share our values.
Over the years and through my travels in Mongolia, Siberia, the Amazon, Tibet, and India, I have met shamans, elders, and guardians of traditions that the modern world has not yet erased. These encounters have fostered a deep conviction: this ancestral knowledge carries precious answers for our time—regarding meaning, energy, healing, and our relationship with the living world.
Sacred Origins Travel is the fruit of thirty years of journeys, encounters, and transmission.

I have personally experienced every journey I offer. I have known every practitioner I introduce to you for years. Nothing is offered here without having been tried and tested.
I feel a deep sense of gratitude toward everyone who has placed their trust in me over the years. This trust is something I strive to cultivate and pass on every day—in every journey, every encounter, and every experience we create together.
