It is November 2, 2025.

I returned yesterday from Djanet, but my soul remains somewhere between the dunes of the Sahara.

This journey was one of the most beautiful of my life—not only because of the splendor of the landscapes but, above all, thanks to the deep humanity of those who accompanied me. We were welcomed by our Tuareg friends—luminous beings, professional, reassuring, and profoundly joyful. Their knowledge of the desert, their humor, and their calm enveloped our adventure in an almost sacred serenity.

I hope that you, too, will allow this same spirit to be born within you—the one that transforms a simple journey into a source of energy and inner light.

The Sahara is a world apart: a raw, striking, and ever-generous beauty. Just a few kilometers are enough for the colors and shapes to metamorphose: black rocks, golden sands, ochre plateaus, red canyons. You can feel the power of the sun, accumulated over millions of years, permeating the sand. To walk barefoot there is to drink directly from the source of vital energy.

The rock paintings, witnesses to an ancient humanity, tell the stories of the gestures, dreams, and wisdom of the first inhabitants of this immense desert. And at night, under an infinite sky of stars, you feel as though the entire universe rests in the palm of your hand.

In this vastness, you first believe you are losing yourself. I was initially moved by the wounds of the Algerian people from the colonial era. I deeply hope that these two great nations will come to understand one another.

So, yes, I am going back. This place calls out, like a breath.

However, it is not possible to go in large numbers—twelve travelers at most, to preserve the magic and the silence of the desert. This journey will be further enhanced by the presence of my friend Séverine, a yoga teacher and educator.

Your Sacred Journey

    • The Common Bond Between Mongols and Tuaregs: An exploration of nomadism and the shared spirit of wandering and freedom.

    • Workshops on Universal Law: Understanding the fundamental principles that govern our connection to the cosmos.

    • The Worldview of African Nomads: Discovering the philosophy and vision of the desert through the lens of tales and legends.

    • Interpreting Rock Art: An intuitive and symbolic reading of ancient cave paintings to connect with ancestral wisdom.

    • Yoga Sessions: Guided by Séverine or Malik to ground the body and integrate the desert’s energy.

I find myself at a loss for words to describe the beauty of this country. At the beginning, in Algiers, I was moved by the still-vivid wound that Algerians carry within them, inherited from the history of colonization. I even felt a form of silent guilt, but very quickly, I understood that we cannot continue to ignore this collective pain. As time passes, the scars resurface—as if memory refuses to be stifled. Rather than looking away, we must learn to listen to one another, to understand one another.

Algeria is a great nation, dignified and vibrant, whose people possess the heart of desert men—strong, noble, and infinitely generous. One day, forgiveness will rise from its ashes. But as for me, I am not waiting for that moment to walk in the desert: I am going now, carried by respect, humility, and the hope for a true bond between our peoples.

People often prefer walking in their shoes, but the Sahara offers its silence as a treasure; on the glowing sands, one feels the subtle energies of the sun coming straight from the infinite Universe.

While Western Countries authorities advise against traveling to Algeria due to potential political issues, I personally saw nothing dangerous there. Domestic tourism is flourishing, and many Algerians are visiting their country’s treasures.

Comfort and safety are ensured by the passionate team of my Algerian colleague Faika, who is always attentive to our needs. I want to emphasize that you can place your full trust in my highly professional Algerian colleagues rather than following a rigid, pre-calculated schedule. This program is, therefore, indicative.

Day 1 – Saturday, October 17, 2026: Arrival in Algiers and City Tour

A visa is mandatory to enter Algeria. While it is sometimes possible to obtain a visa on arrival with a pre-issued permit, we strongly recommend applying for your visa at least one month before departure at the Algerian consulate of your place of residence. Please book a flight arriving in Algiers before noon on October 17. While the international flight is not included, the domestic flight to Djanet is fully covered.

Upon arrival, we will be welcomed by our local guide, Sofiane. We will explore the vibrant streets of Algiers and enjoy a traditional meal in a house within the historic Casbah.

The domestic flight to Djanet departs at 11:00 PM.

We arrive in Djanet at 3:15 AM. The dry, soft desert air immediately envelops us. Our Tuareg team will meet us, and we will head straight into the desert to set up our first camp. Sleeping directly on the sand upon arrival is a beautiful way to step out of your comfort zone and embrace the Sahara.

Day 2 – Sunday, October 18, 2026: The Dunes of Tikoubaouine

Waking up in the middle of the Tassili desert, surrounded by golden light and silence, is an unforgettable emotion. After breakfast by the fire, we walk slowly in a mindful silence. At noon, we find shade under a rock or a lone acacia for a delicious vegetarian meal. Tikoubaouine, with its natural arches and canyons, is a true open-air museum. As night falls, the Tuaregs’ songs resonate around the fire.

  • Workshop: Introduction to the journey and “Shamanism of Nomads” (30 min) by Chimegmaa.

  • Yoga: Led by Séverine.

Day 3 – Monday, October 19, 2026: The “Skyscrapers” of Issendilène

We journey toward the spectacular Issendilène canyon. The path winds through a valley of oleanders, where the shade contrasts with the warm sand. Much like in Mongolia, you will see animals roaming free, a testament to the nomads’ respect for the freedom of their livestock. At sunset, we set up camp on a dune overlooking the wadi to watch the sky catch fire. Our guide will share the ancestral wisdom and dignity of the Tuareg people.

  • Workshop: “Full Presence” (breathing, walking, and eating mindfully – 30 min).

  • Yoga: Led by Séverine.

Day 4 – Tuesday, October 20, 2026: The Heart of the Ihrir Valley

We travel by 4×4 across the Dider plateau to discover one of the world’s most beautiful rock engravings—a silent witness to humanity’s ancient connection with nature. Whether in Algeria or Mongolia, nomads share a common vision of universal law. After an outdoor lunch, we reach the village of Ihrir. We will spend the night in traditional huts called “Idarène.”

  • Workshop: “The Three Bodies and the Values of Human Life” (1h).

  • Yoga: Led by Séverine.

Day 5 – Wednesday, October 21, 2026: Sharing and Transmission in Ihrir

A day dedicated to total immersion in nature. We will hike through the sublime Ihrir Valley, exploring the hidden treasures of the canyon. This is a time to marvel at the raw, wild beauty of the landscape and connect deeply with the spirits of the land.

  • Workshop: “The 9 Wills of the Soul.”

  • Yoga: Led by Séverine.

Day 6 – Thursday, October 22, 2026: The Final Sunrise and Djanet

On our last day, we head back toward Djanet, stopping at the majestic dunes of Erg Admer. We will share a final nomadic meal—a moment suspended in gratitude. In the afternoon, we visit “The Crying Cow,” one of the most moving rock engravings in the Sahara. We will also explore the lively souks of Djanet.

The return flight departs on the night of October 23 at 4:15 AM, arriving in Algiers at 6:30 AM.

Though the night is short, your heart will remain filled with the magic of the desert.

Day 7 – Friday, October 23, 2026: Return Flight
